Why Urban Mosaic

There are several reasons that we at Urban Mosaic do what we do. Ultimately, however, it comes down to four central issues:

• We believe that cities are key to the expansion of the Gospel in North America. Why? Because cities are the social, cultural, economic, and political centers of North America.

• We love the local church and believe that it is the vessel God has chosen to use to advance his Kingdom in the city (Jer. 29:7). We desire to see the local church live out this call more effectively than it has in the past.

• We believe that the future of the local church in the city is tied to its willingness and its ability to effectively engage its community with a holistic Gospel (Jer. 29:7, 11).

• We love pastors and mission leaders and have a strong desire to resource them in a way that enables them to successfully live out their callings in the context of the city. All effective ministry flows from healthy, biblical leadership.
