How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news... Isaiah 52:7
InnerVOICE is a collective publication of InnerCHANGE. As a Christian order, InnerCHANGE operates in three major currents: our missionary presence among the poor, our contemplative life in God, and our prophetic voice in society. It is our desire to serve the church by being prophetic in our actions as well as our words. InnerVOICE represents our attempts to speak out with the poor, recycle our learning as a community, and listen for the loving words of God in our midst. Each issue of InnerVOICE is based on one of the InnerCHANGE commitments - humility, service, community, prayer, purity, and simplicity.

John Hayes' book Submerge: Living Deep in a Shallow World: Service, Justice and Contemplation Among the World's Poor tells John's story and experiences among the poor as well as the story of InnerChange's history as a communal order with our friends and neighbors among the poor.

Susan Smith with the InnerCHANGE Cambodia Team has written PASSOVER: A Celebration for Easter Season. Passover is a feast that is about freedom--the freedom of the Israelites—as is written in the Exodus story. Passover also sheds light on the plan God had to send Jesus to redeem all men, to give freedom. As a ceremony that is full of meaning, symbols, and music, it is a great way to celebrate at Easter time, to remember why Jesus died. This book has original music, hand drawn art, and lessons from the Christian community. Lessons cover the meaning and history of the Passover, Passover and the poor, the pedagogy of the Passover and creative teaching methods, and guarding the freedom we celebrate during the Passover (guarding against legalism). Many lessons have questions or suggestions for small group study, and a CD is also available for customizing a Passover ceremony for use in your home or church. (Click on the pdf to download the entire book. Be aware that it is a large file -- over 26MB.)
